WASHINGTON COUNTY

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, plans "Rally Day" and "Bring-a-Friend Day" on Sunday. The church serves breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday, and worship starts at 10:30 a.m. Christian education classes for all ages resume at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 10.

Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, 1506 W. Robinson Ave., offers several ministries.

• DivorceCare for Kids meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday, beginning Sept. 6. The 13-week ministry is designed to help children in first through sixth grades through a Bible-based lesson. A $15 donation is requested to cover materials.

• Single & Parenting meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday, beginning Sept. 6. The 13-week ministry is designed to help single parents handle the job of parenting alone. A $15 donation is requested to cover materials.

• Financial Peace University meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday, beginning Sept. 6. The nine-week ministry is designed to help families take charge of their financial situations. A $100 donation is requested to cover materials.

• DivorceCare meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. each Sunday, beginning Sept. 10. The program is designed to help those divorced and going through divorce with their feelings and changing situations.

Scholarships are available, if needed. Babysitting is provided.

Community Christian Church in Fayetteville, 4210 Frontage Road, sponsors the "Summer of Pants" clothing drive for LifeSource International. LifeSource offers free resources for low-income families and is need of men's clothing.

The Guitar Center in Fayetteville will donate one ukulele for every 100 pounds of clothing to LifeSource for after-school music classes.

Donated clothing will be collected at Farmers Insurance, Jeff Danley, 2907 E. Joyce Blvd., No. 1, in Fayetteville; Encore Realty, 201 W. Emma Ave., Suite C, in Springdale; USA Mortgage, 1999 S. 52 St., No. 3B, Rogers, or 911 S.E. 28th St., Bentonville; and the church.

BENTON COUNTY

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, offers worship services at 10 a.m. each Sunday, with Sunday school and adult Bible classes at 8:30 a.m.

The church offers a monthly study on the Lutheran liturgy and a congregational Bible study on Wednesday evenings.

The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, 2003 S.W. Regional Airport Road, sponsors its youth group, "Warehouse 912," for ninth- through 12th-graders, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

"Chicks With Beatitudes," a women's ministry, meets at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Bike Rack Brewing Co. in Betonville.

The church offers a new Sunday school class beginning Sept. 6. The class is based on the book, Finding Yourself in Transition: Using Life's Changes for Spiritual Awakening by Robert Brummet.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a traditional worship service at 8:30 a.m. and a blended service at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday school and adult Bible classes begin at 9:45 a.m. The church began a new Bible study class last week, studying Martin Luther's Small Catechism.

The church offers a worship service for those unable to attend a regular service at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 5. The church serves lunch after the service, and transportation is available.

The men's discipleship class meets at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. each Monday. GriefShare classes meet at 3 p.m. each Thursday, this week to Nov. 16.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday. Donation requests include toothpaste and staple items for the holiday season.

Through the summer months, the church collects snacks for kids to donate to Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. Suggested items include cheese and crackers, fruit cups, juice packets and boxes, granola bars and microwavable items such as macaroni and cheese, ravioli and soups.

A men's Bible study, titled The Nations in Prophecy, meets at 7 p.m. each Tuesday. The women's "KniTTogether" and White Cross ministries meet at 7 p.m. each Tuesday, completing projects for area people in need and for a hospital in the Congo.

The Oasis Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., offers worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The pastors lead a weekly prayer service and worship from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday.

The men's Bible study reconvenes Sept. 12 with a new six-week video series Chosen by God by R.C. Sproul, considering the Bible's teachings on election and predestination. The men's Bible study meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Tuesday.

The women's Bible study starts a new study Sept. 21 on the book, Fight Back With Joy by Margaret Feinberg. The women's study meets at 9:30 a.m. each Thursday, with the class being taught a second time at 6 p.m. each Thursday. The book costs $15.

A prayer fellowship meets at 9:15 a.m. every Wednesday.

The church will participate in Bella Vista's Labor Day celebration, "The Back 40 Trails," from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 2. Activities include hiking, biking and food.

Parish nurses answer questions and provide blood-pressure checks from 9 a.m. to noon each Wednesday. A caregivers' support group meets at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, 103 Riordan Road, offers worship services at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. every Sunday, with full programming for children from birth to sixth grade provided during all services. The church starts a Saturday night worship service at 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

The church sponsors its annual picnic at 5 p.m. Sunday at the pavilion in the Kingsdale Recreation Complex in Bella Vista. A mini-golf tournament and swimming are planned.

The church offers "Collide Worship" for seventh- through 12th-graders from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The cafe opens at 5:30 p.m.
