Road job to close U.S. 67/167 lanes

Work on a $79.2 million project to widen a section of U.S. 67/167 in Pulaski and Lonoke counties will require another week of lane closures beginning today, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

The lane closings that will last through Friday, weather permitting, include multiple areas of the highway's frontage roads, T.P. White and John Harden drives, between Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville and Arkansas 5 in Cabot.

The northbound inside lane and the southbound inside lane of U.S. 67/167 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. Traffic will be controlled using signs and barrels.

The northbound and southbound lanes of T.P. White and John Harden drives will alternately be closed in multiple areas from 7 p.m. Sunday through 5 p.m. Sept. 5. Traffic will be reduced to one open lane on those roads and will be controlled with flagging operations.
