Emergency crews from several counties and the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism continued to search Monday for a missing hiker, said Meg Matthews, state park public information coordinator.
Two men were hiking at Devil's Den State Park on Sunday afternoon, when one man said he didn't feel well, Matthews said. The other man went back to the vehicle for medicine, and when he returned, the sick man was gone, she said.
State park officials searched for the man until at least midnight Sunday. The search resumed at 6 a.m. Monday and was ongoing at 5 p.m.
Matthews said more information wasn't available Monday.
Emergency officials, including those in Washington County, directed messages to the Parks Department.
