Crews continued searching Tuesday for a missing hiker in Devil's Den State Park, according to state Parks Department officials.

Rodney Letterman, 33, of Bartlesville, Okla., was last seen hiking on Butterfield Trail with a friend when they separated, said spokesman Tim Scott, assistant superintendent of the park.

Officials found Letterman's cellphone, Scott said.

"We started with his last known point and are expanding the search from there," he said.

Letterman doesn't have a pack with him, but his hiking partner said he had about a liter and a half of water, Scott said.

The man's friend told officials he went back to the car because he felt fatigued and needed medication. When he returned, his friend was gone.

Emergency crews from several counties and the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism continued to search for Letterman using ATVs, horses and walking the trails.

Letterman is 6 feet tall and weighs 240 pounds.

Anyone with information that might help the search can call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (479) 444-5712.
