Folk-classical crossover ensemble the Annie Moses Band will give two Arkansas performances of "Christmas With the Annie Moses Band":

UCA one-acts

The University of Central Arkansas Theatre program's annual "Festival of One-Act Plays and Scenes," 7:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, will feature 40 actors in 11 student-chosen and student-directed plays onstage in the Bridges/Larson Theatre, Snow Fine Arts Center, UCA, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway.

Pieces of 'eight'

British vocal ensemble Voces8 performs repertory from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary commissions as well as popular arrangements at 7 p.m. today at Fayetteville's Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St., part of the center's 10x10 Arts Series. Tickets are $10 plus fees.

Also at Walton Arts Center this week, Hot Springs native and radio personality Bobby Bones puts his Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots show, featuring Nikita Karmen, onstage 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $33.50 plus fees.

Christmas Story

Nine-year-old Ralphie Parker wants a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas even though his mother is sure he'll put his eye out as Arkansas Public Theatre stages Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story by Philip Grecian, based upon the 1983 film, 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday and Dec. 14-16 and 2 p.m. Dec. 10 and 17 at the Victory Theater, 116 S. Second St., Rogers. Daisy Outdoor Products and Neutrogena are the presenters. Cabaret seats are $34 or $56 for a table of two; balcony seats are $22. And the theater will hold open auditions for the musical The Producers (music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan), 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Victory Theater, with callbacks, if needed, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Doors open at 6:30. Auditions will consist of readings from the script, singing music from the show and a dance combination. An audition packet, including audition times, scenes, character descriptions and a rehearsal schedule, is available at arkansaspublictheatre.org. Production dates are Feb. 9-10, 15-18 and 22-25.
