NEBRASKA 73, ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF 52

The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-4) dropped its fourth consecutive game with a 21-point loss to Nebraska (5-3) at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

The Cornhuskers had four players score in double figures, paced by 6-5 center Kate Cain’s 18 points. Nicea Eliely added 13 points, while Emily Wood and Maddie Simon scored 12 and 10 respectively.

Noe’ll Taylor led UAPB with 12 points, while Faith Ohanta added 10 more.

Nebraska outrebounded UAPB 50-28. The Golden Lions shot 32.7 percent from the field (17 of 52), including 21.4 percent on three-pointers (3 of 14).

SUN BELT WOMEN

MISSISSIPPI 74, ARKANSAS STATE 48

Madinah Muhammad scored a career-high 30 points in 37 minutes to pace Mississippi (7-1) over Arkansas State University (3-4) at The Pavilion in Oxford, Miss.

Muhammad was 11 of 25 from the field, including 4 of 11 on three-pointers. Freshman Promise Taylor added 15 points for the Rebels.

Lycia Peevy led ASU with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Peyton Martin added 10 points for the Red Wolves who trailed 33-19 at halftime thanks to a 21-7 second quarter by the Rebels.
