Claws for Law fundraiser helps Narcan and substance abuse programs

It was impossible for anyone to leave hungry if they cleaned their plate at the Nov. 21 Claws for Law. The fundraiser by Muskie Harris Recovery Service was held in the Razorbacks Letterman Club at War Memorial Stadium and dinner was giant trays of crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes.

Downstairs, David Hall and his sons from K. Hall & Sons Produce were busy over several massive pots of boiling water as they prepared the seafood dinner. Upstairs in the club, organizer Muskie Harris greeted guests as they arrived.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Narcan program of the Maumelle Police Department. Narcan is the emergency antidote treatment used in a suspected opiate overdose. Also benefiting from the fundraiser were the Central Arkansas Boys and Girls Club Summer Refreshments Program and the rehabilitation and substance abuse services at Muskie Harris Recovery Service.
