Small government focus of Little Rock speech

A George Mason University law professor is scheduled to speak Wednesday in Little Rock on the topic of small government.

Ilya Somin is to speak at noon in Sturgis Hall at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, 1200 President Clinton Ave. His research focuses on constitutional law, property law, and the study of popular political participation and its implications for constitutional democracy.

His speech is titled "Democracy and Political Ignorance: Why Smaller Government is Smarter." The event is conducted in partnership with the Little Rock Lawyers' Chapter of the Federalist Society.

Somin was co-editor of The Supreme Court Economic Review from 2006-13.
