NWA Democrat-Gazette/ANDY SHUPE Jay Sanders of Fayetteville smiles as he greets Ruby, a service dog trained by Marsha Wyatt of Service Dogs of Distinction at her ranch south of Greenland. Sanders, a 15-year veteran of the U.S. Army, took Ruby home last December and continued her training. Service Dogs of Distinction is one of many in Northwest Arkansas asking the community for support.

Northwest Arkansas is blessed with a large number of nonprofit agencies that, together, work to meet just about every need. These organizations are supported by the generosity of the community.
