It was an evening to celebrate on Dec. 1 at Home for the Holidays benefiting Our House. The gala was held in the ballroom of Robinson Center.
The evening included celebrating the success of Sharonica Lee and her children who received the 2017 Resilient Family of the Year Award and the 12 years of service by former executive director Georgia Mjartan.
Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and live and silent auctions. Several of the silent auction items were home-theme packages named for different rooms in the house. The Kitchen package included a cooking class and KitchenAid items and the Bathroom package included beauty products, monogrammed towels and candles. The live auction gave partygoers a chance to bid on trips to get away from home including trips to California and New Orleans.
Tabietha and Bill Dillard III served as chairmen for the fundraiser. Our House provides shelter, services and resources to people and families who are homeless.
