Omaha 75, Greenland 52

Garrett Matlock had 25 points as Omaha won the Green Forest Invitational with a victory over Greenland on Saturday night.

Trey Stone added 17 and Seth Lippe chipped in 15 for the Eagles (17-0), who built a 47-30 halftime lead and extended it to 67-40 after three quarters. Matlock had 21 points in the first half.

Will Overton had 11 for Greenland while Boone Tincher chipped in 10.

Van Buren 63, Subiaco Academy 48

The Pointers grabbed the Cyclone Classic championship in Russellville on Friday behind a big night from guard Presley Kindrix. Kindrix scored a game-high 26 points and was named tournament MVP.

Guards Jordan West and Mekhi Burnett each finished with seven assists in the win, and 6-8 forward KJ Stewart had seven rebounds.

Omaha 48, Eureka Springs 37

Garrett Matlock scored 16 of Omaha's 20 first-quarter points, and the Eagles went on to improve their record to 16-0 with a victory over host Eureka Springs in 2A/1A District 1 action Friday night.

Matlock finished with 23 points and Seth Lippe added 11 for Omaha, which outscored Eureka Springs 14-7 in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Brandon Ray and Garrett Cross each had 11 for the Highlanders (7-5), while Carter Drennon chipped in 10.

Elkins 56, West Fork 37

Paxton Barnett scored 22 points as Elkins (8-0, 3-0) remained unbeaten with a victory over the Tigers.

Ethan Hipps contributed 12 points and Chad Graham 10 for the Elks while Justin Bivens scored 14 to lead West Fork (4-4, 0-3).

Deer 53, Western Grove 45

Caden Young had 14 points to lead a trio of Deer players in double figures as the Antlers held off Western Grove in a 2A/1A District 2 game Friday at Western Grove.

Evan Middleton added 13 points and Johnny Smith added 11 for Deer (15-1), which led 29-19 at halftime but had its lead cut to 35-30 at the end of the third quarter. Hunter Baker had 23 points and Luke Lane 12 for Western Grove.

Lincoln 54, Green Forest 42

The Wolves locked down third place in the Green Forest Holiday Tournament with a 12-point win over the host team Saturday.

Adam Keith and Troy Sugg scored 14 points each for Lincoln, and Ian Jackson added 10.

Rhett Powell scored a game-high 26 for Green Forest, and Brandon Burdge added 12.

Girls

Oklahoma Storm 50, Springdale Har-Ber 46

The Lady Wildcats dropped their second straight game in the Broken Arrow (Okla.) Tournament, falling to the home school Oklahoma Storm in the third-place game.

Har-Ber was down by 18 points at one point and pulled within four but could not climb back out of the big hole, said coach Jaime Green.

"I was not pleased again with the emotional energy we started the game with," Green said. "This is really putting us in a tough position in the second half of games to have to constantly fight out of."

Savanna Collins scored 14 points to lead the Lady Wildcats, and Krislyn Smith added 8.

Har-Ber will travel to Clarksville on Tuesday for a nonconference game.

On Friday Har-Ber fell to Moore, Okla., 48-27.

"We could not throw the ball in the ocean," Green said. "And Moore made about everything it threw at the basket. That's just how it goes sometimes."

Rogers Heritage 67, St. Clair, Mo. 65

Sophomore guard Pam Seiler scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter, and the Lady War Eagles rallied for the win Saturday in the Stephanie Phillips Classic in Springfield, Mo.

Heritage (4-5) trailed by as many as 12 in the first half and 52-45 after three quarters. The Lady War Eagles hit 12 of 15 free throws, including seven of eight by Seiler to key the fourth-quarter comeback. They finished second in the brown division.

Sydney Kinnamon chipped in 13, including a halfcourt shot at the halftime buzzer, while Faith Rohrbough and Brooke Menke added 10 each. Seiler was also named to the all-tournament team.

Adair, Okla. 52, Gravette 26

Gravette's five-game winning streak came to an end against the host team Saturday during the Adair Coke Classic championship game.

Lexi Smith led the Lady Lions (5-2) with seven points.

Gentry 25, Prairie Grove 23

Hannah Boss had 12 points Friday night as Gentry (3-5) edged Prairie Grove in a 4A/3A District 1 game at Prairie Grove.

Fayetteville goes 5-4 in Van Buren Duals

Brady Arroyos , Robbie Woody and Cody Williamson had only one loss each to help the Purple Bulldogs to a 5-4 finish over the weekend at the Van Buren Duals.

Fayetteville went 3-1 on Friday and 2-3 on Saturday, missing a few wrestlers who were taking the ACT test. The Purple Bulldogs defeated Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside, Rogers High, Bryant and Van Buren.
