SPRINGDALE -- One person is dead and another injured after a head-on collision at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 49, according to Arkansas State Police.
Anna N. Gadison, 19, of Springdale was driving a Honda Insight south in the northbound lanes near the Elm Springs Road exit. She hit a Volvo tractor-trailer traveling north. Gadison died at the scene, according to the preliminary fatal crash report.
Melvin Garner, 58, of Springdale, was driving the truck. He was taken to Northwest Medical Center-Springdale.
