Two dead in Northwest Arkansas vehicle accidents

Two motorists died in vehicle wrecks in Northwest Arkansas Thursday.

Kamryn Smith, 25, of Fayetteville died in a crash about 6:15 p.m.

Smith was driving north on Oakland Avenue in Fayetteville when he lost control of the vehicle, left the road and collided with a concrete culvert. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police news release.

Harold Gene Ellis, 58, of Bernice, Okla., died when the truck he was driving overturned on Arkansas 43, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Two others in another vehicle were injured in the wreck, according to a fatal crash report.

Ellis' truck overturned just south of the Spavinaw Creek Bridge and slid into the west ditch, according to the report.
