Style: A Christmas bounty

There’s something for everyone as eight major motion pictures shoulder into Arkansas theaters this holiday weekend.

You can take your pick from Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water; Alexander Payne’s poignant comedy Downsizing; the Hugh Jackman circus musical The Greatest Showman; a sequel to the 22-year-old Robin Williams’ film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle; Gary Oldman doing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour; the Bellas getting the band back together in Pitch Perfect 3; Father Figures, a quest comedy with dark overtones; or All the Money in the World — the film in which Christopher Plummer replaced Kevin Spacey as billionaire J. Paul Getty after production had wrapped. (Actually that last one doesn’t open until Christmas Day.)

Anyway, you can find the word on most of these in Friday’s Style section in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. And check our blood, dirt & angels blog for even more.
