Police ID 2 women killed in Northwest Arkansas crash; 1 person still in serious condition, authorities say

Police have identified two women who were killed in a crash Thursday morning in Northwest Arkansas.

The Tontitown Police Department responded around 10:25 a.m. to an area near the intersection of Henry De Tonti Boulevard and Old Highway 68 after a two-vehicle wreck, Capt. Wes Hart said.

Ofelia Reyes, 52, and Marcelina Cox, 78, who were traveling in a Toyota Rav 4, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Trisha Caudwell, the 28-year-old driver of a Chrysler 500, was in serious condition at Washington County Regional Medical Center as of Friday afternoon, according to Hart.

Hart said the crash happened as a vehicle traveling west crossed into eastbound traffic on Henry De Tonti Boulevard and collided with another vehicle. It wasn't clear which vehicle was traveling in which direction.

All three were said to be from Siloam Springs.

The investigation is ongoing.
