Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College receiver Brandon Martin has committed to Arkansas and will go through spring practices with the Razorbacks.

National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network has Arkansas' recruiting class ranked No. 20 nationally, while others rank the class anywhere from No. 23 to No. 27.

Arkansas' class ranks as the seventh best in the SEC.

"I think it's a good, solid class," Lemming said. "It's loaded with athletes. Even the offensive linemen are athletic."

Rivals rates the class No. 23; Scout has the class No. 27; ESPN lists the Hogs at No. 24; and 247 has Arkansas at No. 25.

The Hogs got a boost when cornerback Chevin Calloway announced for Arkansas over Texas and Ole Miss on Wednesday morning on ESPNU.

Calloway, 5-11, 183 pounds, 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Dallas Bishop Dunne had more than 30 scholarship offers. ESPN rates him the No. 11 cornerback and the nation's No. 120 prospect.

"He's got the quick twitch athletic ability that you look for in a corner," said Lemming, who rates Calloway a four-star-plus prospect. "He has real good anticipation and timing and good speed, and he played against real good competition. I think he can step in and contribute as a true freshman."

Landing Calloway could help the Hogs in the future.

"That also opens up a bit of pipeline to Dallas," Lemming said. "I think that's what Arkansas really needs. It's not that far away. They've been successful there, but not as much as they need to be."

Lemming rates cornerbacks Jarques McClellion, 6-0, 175, 4.41, of Delray Beach (Fla.) America; Korey Hernandez, 5-10, 170, 4.5, of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove; Kamren Curl, 6-2, 175, of Muskogee, Okla.; and Jordon Curtis, 6-0, 180, 4.42, of Jenks, Okla., three-star prospects.

He rates Ashdown safety Montaric Brown, 6-0, 175, 4.5, a four-star prospect. ESPN rates Brown as the No. 12 safety and No. 185 overall prospect.

"I think he's a guy that can contribute as a freshman," Lemming said. "He has good size and good range."

Lemming likes the Hogs' offensive line class and lists Kirby Adcock, 6-5, 300, of Nashville and Shane Clenin, 6-6, 295, 5.1, of Festus (Mo.) Jefferson three-star plus prospects. He is high on Dalton Wagner, 6-9, 315, of Richmond (Ill.) Richmond-Burton and rates him a four-star-plus prospect.

He believes the combination of Wagner and offensive line Coach Kurt Anderson is a good match.

"He's a diamond in the rough, but he has terrific potential because he's an athlete," Lemming said. "He's a big kid that can move and bend his knees. All he has to do is work with coach Anderson, and you have yourself an All-American."

Lemming rates the two running back signees, Maleek Williams, 6-0, 230, 4.42, of Punta Gorda (Fla.) Charlotte and Chase Hayden, 5-11, 195, 4.47, of Collierville (Tenn.) St. George's Independent School four-star prospects.

He's visited with Hayden the two past years during his travels across the nation.

"He's a premier ballplayer," Lemming said. "He was Mr. Football as a junior. He has great vision and balance, and most of all terrific production."

Receiver signees Koilan Jackson, 6-3, 212, 4.52, of Joe T. Robinson is a four-star prospect while Maleek Barkley, 5-11, 186, 4.45, of Austin (Texas) Lake Travis is a three-star-plus. Lemming rates the Hogs' other receiver signees De'Vion Warren, 5-11, 176, 4.53, of Monroe (La.) Ouachita Parish and Jarrod Barnes, 5-11, 172, 4.37, of Cabot three-star recruits.

The Hogs landed ESPN's No. 1 junior college receiver and No. 1 tight end in Brandon Martin, 6-4, 205, 4.37, of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Jeremy Patton, 6-6, 236, 4.59, of Arizona Western College.

ESPN rates quarterback Daulton Hyatt, 6-4, 180, 4.62, of Attalla (Ala.) Etowah the No. 9 pocket-passer QB and No. 148 prospect. Lemming rates Hyatt a three-star-plus recruit and believes he has good upside.

"I thought Daulton is the real deal," Lemming said. "I think he could become a big sleeper for the Razorbacks."
