More apply for Russellville school spot

— Three more people have applied for the Russellville School District superintendent’s position, which will be open in June after Superintendent Randall Williams retires.

Sixteen people have applied to date, the most recent of which are Hannah Jaber of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, director of W-A-Y, Widening Advancements for Youth, southwest campus, in Detroit; Charnelsa Powell of Piggott, superintendent of the Piggott School District; Tyler Tarver of Bauxite, director of curriculum, instruction, federal programs, communications, technology and personnel for the Bauxite School District; and Jerri-Lynn Williams-Harper of Albion, Michigan, superintendent of the Albion Public Schools.

Other applicants are as follows:

• Wayne Alexander of Old Lyme, Connecticut, assistant director of adult education at Bridgeport Public Schools;

• Sheldon Buxton of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, superintendent of Luther Public Schools;

• Mark Gotcher of Russellville, deputy commissioner of the Department of Education;

• Thomas Graves of Abingdon, Virginia, of educational consulting;

• Dudley Hume of Whitehall, superintendent of the Woodlawn School District;

• Angela Olsen of Harrison, office manager, Century 21 Action Realty;

• John Parrish of Booneville, superintendent of the Booneville School District;

• Albert Snow of Fordyce, superintendent of the Fordyce School District;

• Beth Stewart of Morrilton, deputy superintendent of the North Little Rock School District;

• Kim Syverson of Bella Vista, dean/acting director of the ITT Technical Institute, 2014-2016;

• Rena Taylor of Russellville, Realtor with Coldwell Banker; and Michael Ward of Little Rock, digital learning consultant for the Arkansas Public School Resource Center.
