Steve Cleland has been selected as the resource conservationist on the Ecological Sciences staff of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Arkansas.

They are: Ben Brenner, Jason Browning, John Bryant, Adria Conklin, Meg Johnston, Scott Provencher and Mandy Stanton in Little Rock; Wendy Johnson in Northwest Arkansas; and Amanda Maclennan in Austin. The firm also announced several staff additions. Nathan A. Read joined the Jonesboro office as a litigation counsel lawyer. Stanton Strickland joined the regulation business practice in the Austin office. David N. Blackorby joined the firm after serving as vice president of Wal-Mart Global Security Operations. John E. MEDICAL

Jefferson Regional Medical Center board of directors has announced that Brian Thomas has been selected as the organization's president and chief executive officer.

Head and neck surgeon Dr. Chelsey Warmack Smith joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She sees patients at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.

Dr. Faisal H. Khan is now providing surgical services and endoscopies for residents of Crawford County at Sparks Medical Center-Van Buren.

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program has hired Marlon Mowdy to develop the Jacob Wolf House Historic Site in Norfork.
