Viewers of Nickelodeon may have noticed some cryptic SpongeBob SquarePants commercials airing over the last month or so. They throw the future of the show's classic Krabby Patty sandwich in doubt.
So what's going on?
In the new special "Goodbye, Krabby Patty?" Jon Hamm (Mad Men) provides the voice of charismatic advertising agency executive Don Grouper. He's got big ideas for Bikini Bottoms' beloved burger, with plans for taking it to market -- frozen -- on an industrial scale.
But, while manufacturing Krabby Patties will probably make Mr. Krabs rich, it also might drive a wedge between SpongeBob and his best friend, Patrick Star.
