BENTONVILLE -- Construction on the Bella Vista Bypass will require lane closings on North Walton Boulevard in Bentonville.
Beginning Monday, crews will place asphalt for the roundabout construction at Interstate 49, according to Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials. North and south lanes of Walton Boulevard alternately will be closed just north of the I-49 overpass to just south of the overpass.
Motorists should expect traffic queuing for short periods as only one lane of traffic will remain open during the daily closings, which will be in effect weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through March 10, weather permitting. Lanes will be restored to two-way operations after 6 p.m. Traffic will be controlled using signs and flaggers.
