Hot Springs college plans new building

HOT SPRINGS -- National Park Community College is working on a potential building project valued at $12 million to $14 million.

Trustees last week authorized the college to identify bond underwriters, architectural services and a construction company.

The project includes plans for a new Student Commons building to be the new "front door" to the campus and a "one-stop shop" for student services, with new space for the library, bookstore, advisers and financial aid, and conference space for campus events. A new road from Mountain Pine Road would lead to the building.
