Sweet Charity auditions

Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main St., North Little Rock, will hold auditions for the musical Sweet Charity (music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields, book by Neil Simon), 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday, with callbacks at 1 p.m. Sunday. The auditions will consist of two hours of music (prepare 20 bars of a song that showcases your vocal range, not from the show, but which should have the same feel) and cold readings of the script, followed by a dance workshop and audition (wear clothing you will be able to move in). Nabucco in HD

"The Met: Live in HD" will "cinecast" Giuseppe Verdi's opera Nabucco, live from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera, 11:55 a.m. Saturday at the Breckenridge Village 12 in Little Rock and the Tinseltown in Benton. Placido Domingo sings the role of the title Babylonian king. Met music director emeritus James Levine conducts. Tickets are available online at tinyurl.com/nabuccotix.
