Spotted: New flavors offered by two of our go-to grocery snack brands.

BelVita Breakfast Sandwiches (230 calories and 8 fat, 36 carbohydrate, 3 fiber, 14 sugar and 3 protein grams): These sandwich-cookie-like breakfast treats come in two new varieties: Strawberry Yogurt Creme and Vanilla Yogurt Creme. We still prefer the Dark Chocolate Creme and, our favorite, the Peanut Butter that makes us feel as if we're eating Nutter Butters for breakfast. We're not sure about the four hours of sustainable energy they promise, but they taste good for the four minutes it takes to eat them.

Quaker Breakfast Squares (250 calories and 10 fat, 35 carbohydrate, 6 fiber, 11 sugar and 6 protein grams): And speaking of peanut butter, that is the new flavor of Quaker's soft baked bars, which also are available in Banana Nut Bread and Cinnamon Pecan. These take longer than four minutes to eat. The slightly dry bar plus the peanut butter tends to thhh-tick to the roof of one's mout-hhh.
