Construction on New Hope Road in Rogers will require an overnight, alternating lane closure today, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
The lane closure will alternate between the inside eastbound and westbound lanes from 10 p.m. today until 6 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signs, traffic drums, and flaggers, the department said.
The work is part of a $38.7 million project to widen a section of Interstate 49 to six lanes from four. The project extends from Arkansas 264 in Lowell to New Hope and is expected to be complete by the end of the year, the department said.
