An Oklahoma man said he robbed several storage units at Lue's Mini Storage in Maysville last year and then sold some of the items, according to a preliminary arrest report.

James Paul Davis, 40, of Disney, Okla., was arrested Friday in connection with nine counts of commercial burglary and 37 counts of theft of property. Davis also faces misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief.

The owner of the storage company called police Nov. 19 after finding nine storage units broken into, according to the report.

Surveillance footage from the storage company showed a man driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled in between the storage units. The man used bolt cutters to cut the locks from several units and taking items and putting them in his vehicle, according to the report.

Items stolen from the units included hunting equipment, electronics and tools. The most expensive item was a ground hunting blind, valued at $150.

Davis told an Oklahoma deputy during a Dec. 22 traffic stop he committed the burglaries, according to the report.

Davis was being held Friday at the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
