And jails are crowded with shooters brought to justice.

What was a sixteen-year-old doing in a club that served liquor at 2 am?

What is the black community going to do about this?

When our legislators ignore or oppose gun control, you can expect the slaughter to continue. The NRA owns the Arkansas state legislature. Follow the money.

When you never deal with the root of the problem the problem will never go away. Gun control is just a bandaid. That's the real problem. We don't deal with the root!

Hey Rev2028 - Are you getting paid to spout such nonsense? I only ask because I'm taking your advice and following the money.
.
Nobody including NRA opposes reasonable and common sense laws including those designed to keep deadly weapons away from known bad people. To say otherwise is nonsense and means you are either being paid to say so or are a complete idiot.
.
The root problem is easy to identify: BABY. MOMMA. CULTURE.

Agreed, Rev, but no minds change in this forum. Be aware, if you are not already, few of these commenters actually seek respectful dialogue and honest answers. Besides the predictable racists and gun fetishists, some, like Packman, are active sadists seeking responsive masochists. Just a heads-up. Have a good day, Sir or Madam.

A few things:

1. Gun control is a pipe dream. These types of criminals will get guns regardless of gun laws. They steal them now. They will steal them then.

2. How many of these 25+ injured who were treated at ER's around town have an Obamacare health insurance policy? Most, probably none, of them will not be able to pay for the care they received if they are uninsured.

3. One commenter posed the question, "what will the black community do about this?" Same thing they always do: cry for the TV cameras, hold a prayer vigil or two, then right back to same old behavior which is not controlling their offspring, and not forcing bad citizens out of their neighborhoods. In my opinion, blacks will ultimately have to be the solution to their own problem. Gov't is not going to be able to do it for them. Neither will any other segment of the community. And more $ thrown at poor and blacks will not change anything either.

So an easy takeaway according to those who think they are smarter than everyone
1. The guns did it themselves, there are no suspects
2. Rap music has nothing to do with the violence, the poster promoting this show with the rapper pointing a gun at the camera is innocent fun
3. LR crime is all the fault of the NRA
4. White men have created all of the issues in the ghetto
5. You are just as likely to be shot in any nightclub in LR as this one

What do city leaders expect: Riverfest had a foul mouth rapper as part of the "entertainment". Now you believe that no one knew of this gang banger rally in downtown?
I guess we're too wrapped up in political correctness to do anything that some damn fool might claim as racial profiling. Let's just "pray" about it. Until LR gets tough on crime we can expect this kind of crap to continue. Events like this sure don't help the developers and city officials who are marketing downtown LR as the new frontier. Frontier, yes...as in wild wild west
