Into the light

The Delta Cultural Center brings out an assortment of objects in its collection that has been in storage. It includes Al Green's performance outfit, an intricately crafted mosaic, a fur trade kettle, homeopathic patent medicine and a giant cash register. The display -- "Special Presentation: Out of the Dark and Into the Limelight" -- opens today at the Visitors Center, 141 Cherry St., Helena-West Helena. The exhibition remains up through Sept. 6; gallery hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Admission is free. Christ Church art

"Cumulative Subjects," an exhibit of post-2011 oil paintings by Patricia McMath Bueter, goes on display Friday in the gallery of Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott St., Little Rock, with a 2nd Friday Art Night reception, 5:30-8 p.m. The exhibition will be up through Sept. 30. Cinderella Kids

Thirty kids age 8-14 are staging Disney's Cinderella Kids, based on the animated film, as the culmination of the Foundation of Arts' three-week "Young Artist Theatre" camp, 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday at the Forum Theatre, 115 E. Celebrity CEO

Celebrity Attractions has named Kristin Dotson as its chief executive officer, effective July 1, succeeding retiring CEO Ed. L. Payton. Dotson, a 23-year veteran of the firm, has headed up the company's Tulsa office, and until 2015 served as senior marketing director, when she began booking national Broadway tours.

Payton took over the company following the February 2013 death of his brother, founder Larry Payton. The Tulsa-based presenter has booked shows into Little Rock since it bought out the Broadway Theatre Series from Marilyn Weinstein and her husband, Eugene, in 1997. It also takes touring shows to Tulsa; Springfield, Mo.; and Lubbock, Amarillo and Abilene, Texas.
