New Eagle Scouts

Kaje Bengston, 17, is the son of Carrie Bengston and Chris Bengston of Malvern. He is a member of Troop 17 at First United Methodist Church in Bryant. For his Eagle Project, Kaje led a group in the renovation of several facilities at the Ouachita Camp Foundation in Bismarck.

Tylor Rea-Garibay, 16, is the son of Kandy Gould of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 1 at First Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs. For his Eagle Project, Tylor built a pergola for the outdoor classroom project at Hot Springs Intermediate School.

Ian Lee, 18, is the son of Marshell Pineback and Anita Lee of Sherwood. He is a member of Troop 770 at First Christian Church in Sherwood. For his Eagle Project, Ian removed rocks from the front of three flower beds and replaced them with mulch to improve the appearance of the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood.

Jackson Jenkins, 16, is the son of Mark and Susan Jenkins of Conway. He is a member of Troop 392 at Peace Lutheran Church in Conway. For his Eagle Project, Jackson rebuilt and repainted Peace Lutheran Church's sign and built a planter box for landscaping.

Jesse Trickett, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Trickett of Shannon Hills. He is a member of Troop 99 at Grace Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Jesse led a group in installing a 20-foot flagpole with a perennial garden and two benches at EAST Initiative's west Little Rock campus.

Camden Keech, 15, is the son of Joel and Sarah Keech of Conway. He is a member of Troop 392 at Peace Lutheran Church in Conway. For his Eagle Project, Camden sanded and painted playground equipment and built two benches for Florence Mattison Elementary School in Conway.

Philip VanNewkirk, 18, is the son of Bill and Judy VanNewkirk of Jacksonville. He is a member of Troop 770 at First Christian Church in Sherwood. For his Eagle Project, Philip constructed a greenhouse behind the Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School College Preparatory Academy.

Ian Klein, 18, is the son of James and Suzanne Klein of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Ian designed, created and landscaped a contemplative garden at Camp Aldersgate in Little Rock.

Shawn Huffine, 17, is the son of Shannon and Angela Huffine of Paragould. He is a member of Troop 138 at First United Methodist Church in Paragould. For his Eagle Project, Shawn cleaned up the badly damaged and abandoned Clark's Cemetery on North 12th Avenue in Paragould.
