Police: Man killed while crossing Rogers street

Gregory D. Brandon, 45, of Rogers was killed while crossing West Walnut Street in Rogers about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

A 2012 Ford F-350 truck was heading west on Walnut when it hit Brandon. The driver wasn't injured in the collision and was not identified.

The state police identified the man who died in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Fayetteville as Alvin Winberry, 76, of Bentonville.

Winberry's 2002 Ford F150 pickup was headed north on Interstate 49 when it exited the interstate to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and hit a mobile sign. The pickup went through the east ditch, hitting a sign post and fence. It then entered Futrall Drive and overturned, according to the Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary report.

Winberry was ejected from the pickup, according to the report. Winberry was declared dead at the scene.
