The United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, presents the youth and volunteers of vacation Bible school leading the sermon during the Sunday worship service.

The church plans a "paint-by-number" project of the Luther Rose for children on July 29. The United Singles meet for Bingo at 10 a.m. Aug. 5. Church members meet for discussion of the book, Lies We Believe About God, by Wm. Paul Young, at 10 a.m. Aug. 2.

The church collects nonperishable food items for Snack Packs to be given to Gravette schools.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, offers vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday for children age 3 through sixth-graders.

The United Methodist Women plan their annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 5.

The church offers a series of 22 "Coffee Chats" through August for members to gather and meet the new senior pastor, the Rev. Jeanne Williams.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., plans a cookout and potluck to honor Bella Vista's First Responders at 4:30 p.m. July 30.

GriefShare classes begin at 3 p.m. Aug. 24.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday. Donation requests include shampoo, deodorant and body wash. The church's fellowship team asks for donations of children's school clothing in sizes medium (10 to 12), large (14 to 16) and extra large (18 to 20).

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., offers a Bible-based day camp for children who have completed kindergarten to sixth grade. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The church operates a food pantry from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Saturday.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, 1101 W. Hudson Road, celebrates the priesthood of all believers with a "Layman's Sunday" this week. Elders will lead the worship services at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

The church offers vacation Bible school July 30 to Aug. 3.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., serves "Dinner Church," an informal worship service followed by a meal together, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Ladies Birthday Luncheon groups meets at 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The church presents a "Creative Kids Make It and Share It" from 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 31 to Aug. 4 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Participants will make different projects each day and deliver them to nonprofit agencies in Bella Vista.

Through the summer months, the church collects snacks for kids to donate to Helping Hands Food Pantry in Bentonville. Suggested items include cheese and crackers, fruit cups, juice packets and boxes, granola bars and microwavable items such as macaroni and cheese, ravioli and soups.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a class on becoming a member of the Disciples of Christ at 9 a.m. Sunday and July 30. Ray Ticknor leads the class, focusing on history, basic characteristics, avenues of service and organizational structure of the church.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Boulevard, hosts a blood drive for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, celebrates "Christmas in July" during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday. Christmas music and the Christmas message will be presented without the stress of the holiday season in the background. Gifts will be collected for children at the Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home in Monticello, and Christmas cookies will be served during the after-worship fellowship.
