Cliburn medalist
South Korean pianist Yekwon Sunwoo, gold medalist at the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will give a recital at 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville. The nationwide tour is part of the prize package that includes a cash award, artist representation and management and a recording. The competition took place May 25-June 10 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. 8-year-old filmmaker
Eight-year-old Bob Sheen, writer and director of The Rake, and the film's producer, Erik Fleming, will attend and take part in a question-and-answer session following the screening of the short film, 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Central Theater, 1008 Central Ave., Hot Springs. It's part of the fifth annual Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival, Sept. 21-24.
