The deadline is drawing near for community gardening groups applying for the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Troy-Bilt Colt FT Garden Tiller Grant.
Any organization or group that is currently tending a community garden is welcome to apply by filling out a form that includes a description of the organization's efforts, its impact on its community and how the new tiller would help their garden. The form can be found at keeparkansasbeautiful.com under the "Community Resources" tab.
The tiller, valued at $420, is suited for small and medium-size gardens and will be given to the winning organization at an event on Sept. 9, National Planting Day.
The application deadline is Tuesday and the winner will be notified by Aug. 15.
