Actor Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0) serves as narrator for the PBS documentary series Big Pacific. It airs at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through July 19 on AETN. The series explores the geography, natural phenomena and behaviors of some rare and dazzling creatures found in and on the islands of the Pacific Ocean.

It premiered last week, but there are four remaining episodes:

Wednesday: Surrounded by the Ring of Fire, the Pacific Ocean is the epicenter of natural mayhem. Geological features along the Ring of Fire include volcanoes, ocean trenches, mountain trenches, hydrothermal vents and earthquake activity. See how it affects the creatures who live there.

July 5: Food is plentiful in the Pacific Ocean, but for creatures big and small, finding food can be a challenge.

July 12: The quest to multiply has spawned a stunning array of unusual behaviors and adaptations. One of the most amazing rituals is performed by the pufferfish. They construct extremely intricate circles in the sand to attract a mate.

July 19: The final episode captures the highlights, challenges and adventures of wildlife filmmaking.
