Style: I wonder how your engine feels ....

Edgar Wright, the British writer-director best known for his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy — Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World's End (2013) — takes on a very American genre with his car chase movie Baby Driver, which is both one of the summer’s most anticipated films and opening Friday. Our Dan Lybarger will report on it, as well as Despicable Me 3 and Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled in Friday’s Style section in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Meanwhile, Philip Martin takes a look at The Hero, in which western icon Sam Elliott plays a version of himself, and Piers Marchant kicks off a discussion on the best films of the 21st Century so far. (Which we'll continue next week.)
