ASU premieres

Arkansas State University's Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in Riceland Hall, ASU's Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro. The program will include the premiere of Tides and Tracings by ASU music faculty member Carrie Page; the Mid-South premiere of James Stephenson's Concerto for Piccolo Trumpet and Wind Ensemble, with faculty member Chris Wilson, who commissioned the work, as soloist; Psalm for Band, op.53, by Vincent Persichetti; and Four Scottish Dances by Malcolm Arnold. Hidden screening

The Clinton School of Public Service will screen the movie Hidden Figures, the story of black female mathematicians at NASA whose calculations made possible some of America's greatest achievements in space, 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Great Hall of the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave. Admission is free; reserve seats by calling (501) 683-5239 or emailing publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

AUDITIONS

Rep season auditions

The Arkansas Repertory Theatre will hold local auditions for union and nonunion actors for its 2017-2018 season, by appointment only, starting at 5 p.m. Monday at the Rep's Education Annex, 518 Main St., Little Rock. Auditioners should prepare two very brief monologues, two very brief songs (and provide sheet music in the appropriate key for the accompanist) or a very brief monologue and a very brief song. Actors must provide a head shot and resume. Additional auditions and callbacks can be held on a show-by-show basis throughout the season.
