Jill Frazier

Where I live: Riverdale

Occupation: Pharmacist

My favorite space is: My couch in my front room.

Why? While sitting or lying on it I can peer into my backyard and my front yard, enjoy a fire in my fireplace, read or watch TV. The view out my front windows is exceptionally lovely. I can see my neighbors' house and yard. Their lawn is always immaculate and their landscaping and use of annuals for color is a sight to behold. Sometimes I see one of my neighbors outside working and that makes me smile because I adore them. I can view wilderness across my street. When the sun is down I can see the moon sometimes. I often see neighboring cats walking across the brick planter wall which runs under the windows. When I see one and my cat happens to be outside I soon hear screeching! I can also see parts of three neighborhood streets. I lived just around the corner for 13 years and I love to get a glimpse of my former beloved neighbor in her big white van at the stop sign. Above the fireplace is a beautiful painting by my precious neighbor, and on the wall opposite is a clock that hung in my parents' house through my youth.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Not change a thing.
