Patricia Braun, RN, was promoted to director of emergency medicine and intensive-care services at Sparks Medical Center–Van Buren. She has more than 30 years of nursing experience and has been a part of Sparks Van Buren for seven years. Braun earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Texas, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arkansas State University and will complete a master’s degree in nursing from University of Texas in May.

Matt Cleaver was hired as vice president/loan officer for Cornerstone Bank’s Madison County market. His office will be in Huntsville. Cleaver earned a degree in agricultural business from Arkansas Tech University in 2010. He has spent the past two plus years with Tyson Foods, most recently as a farm manager.

Christina Karnatz joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as an associate director of development at the Northwest Regional Campus for the Office of Community Health and Research and the Center for Pacific Islander Health. She joined UAMS after six years with public radio station KUAF 91.3 FM. Karnatz has an undergraduate degree in international business from the University of Arkansas, and is pursuing a master’s degree in communication from Purdue University.

Katie Rievert joined University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a development associate at the Northwest Regional Campus. Rievert joins UAMS after more than three years with Feed Communities, a Fayetteville-based nonprofit. Rievert has an undergraduate degree in social work from Taylor University in Upland, Ind.

Shae Newman joined Crye-­Leike Real Estate Services’ Fayetteville office. She has more than six years of professional real estate experience and worked for Century 21 Glover Town & Country in Clarksville, where she was named Rookie of the Year and was a million-dollar producer. Newman was a teacher at Leverett Elementary in Fayetteville for the past seven years.

Dr. Marat Grigorov joined the medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing at The Neurosurgery Center, 601 W. Maple Ave., Suite 505 in Springdale. He received his medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa., had an internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., and completed his neurosurgery residency at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill., following a surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.

Heather Albertson was added to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for computed tomography. She is the radiology manager and radiation safety officer at Sparks Medical Center — Van Buren. She’s been with Sparks Health System since 2000. This is her third registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and fifth registry overall.

Dr. Kenneth P. Seiter joined Mercy Clinic Podiatry — River Valley, 3501 Knight Drive in Fort Smith. He completed his training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shores, Fla., and his three-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Botsford/Beaumont Hospital in affiliation with Michigan State University in Farmington Hills, Mich., where he was chief resident. He completed fellowships in Indianapolis, Russia and Germany. He is board certified in foot and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is past president of the Arkansas Podiatric Medical Association and serves as an advisory board member of the Arkansas Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.

Michael Oglesby received The Martha Sue Curren Award of Excellence in a Human Service Field from the NWA Medical Social Workers group on March 3. This annual award was created in 2001 to honor professionals in human services for their contributions to their communities and populations served. Oglesby has been a licensed social worker since 1991 and a certified case manager since 2013. He works as a case manager in the emergency department of Washington Regional Medical Center.
