Scott Plantation Settlement is at the corner of Alexander Road and Walkers Corner Road in Scott, about 10 miles southeast of Little Rock on U.S. 165.

The settlement is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 18, and other times by appointment. General admission is $3, free for ages 6 and under.
This season's special events include:
• Scott Connections Rendezvous, April 29. Homespun crafts, demonstrations, farmers produce. Admission: $3, free for ages 6 and under.
• Spring Dinner, May 21. Cocktails, dinner, music and auction at the century-old Alexander Schaer House. Admission: $65.
• High Cotton on the Bayou Festival, Oct. 7. Turn-of-the-century family games, butter-churning, sorghum-making. Admission: $3, free for ages 6 and under.
