SPRINGDALE -- A man was arrested Saturday in connection with the Feb. 16 robbery of an Arvest Bank branch, police said Monday.

Travis Robbins, 46, was arrested after the Benton Police Department contacted the Springdale Police Department about the robbery, Lt. Jeff Taylor with Springdale police said in a news release.

Robbins is being held at the Saline County Detention Center in Benton. The detention center website lists his full name as Travis Duane Robbins. He has a Fayetteville address and was booked into the jail Sunday in connection with a theft by receiving complaint. He's being held on a $5,000 bond.

Springdale detectives drove to Benton and interviewed Robbins.

"During the course of the interview, Robbins admitted to robbing the Arvest Bank on Feb. 16, 2017," Taylor said.

The robbery occurred at the Arvest at 3950 W. Sunset Ave. about 9:50 a.m. Police were told a white male between 35 and 45 years old approached a teller and demanded money. No weapons were used, and no one was injured, Taylor said Feb. 16.
