The bottom four in the order scored six of the team's nine runs to lead the way in a 9-2 victory against Lincoln at J.P. Lovelady Park.

"The bottom of our lineup has done well all year long for us," Pea Ridge coach Josh Reynolds said. "We've talked to them all year we need runners on for the top of the order. They've done that for us."

Dominique Burnwell led the way hitting seventh in the order for the Lady Blackhawks, finishing 4-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.

"We have some good hitters down there," Reynolds said. "It's so important because they are fighting for the top of the order. Sometimes they don't get enough credit. They do a good job for us."

Avery Dayberry hit eighth in the lineup while finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Sixth-hole hitter Brittany Harmon finished 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Pea Ridge (27-3).

"They can hit," Lincoln coach Beau Collins said. "You have to have respect for everyone in their order. This is the fourth time we've played them. We know they got very good hitters."

Lincoln (15-14) was able to take a 1-0 lead to open the game when Hollie Webb was hit by a pitch, advanced on a pair of ground balls then was brought home by Lexington Dobbs.

But the Lady Wolves couldn't put much together at the plate after that against Lady Blackhawks starter Stephanie Chase, who allowed just five hits and two runs while striking out seven.

Pea Ridge was able to take a 7-1 lead after three innings by using a four-run second inning then following it with a three-run inning in the third.

Gravette 1, Pottsville 0

Gravette punched its ticket to the championship game with a lone run behind a strong pitching performance.

Gabbi Curtis hit a triple to open the sixth inning then later came in to score to give Gravette a 1-0 lead.

Gravette freshman starting pitcher Cally Kildow went the distance and struck out 12 to keep the one-run lead good enough for the victory.

Pottsville couldn't get a base runner to third base and had just two runners on second all game.

Kildow allowed a walk and a pair of singles in the first three innings but was dominant the rest of the way. She was perfect after that with three-up, three-down innings in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh.

Baseball

Booneville 11, Pea Ridge 7

Booneville jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning, but Pea Ridge didn't make it easy after that.

After being held scoreless in the first two innings, Pea Ridge's offense found some rhythm scoring a run in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

The Blackhawks then used a pair of two-run innings in the sixth and seventh to cut into the lead, but Booneville's big innings were too much to overcome.

Brady Brasher and Michael Hesson led the way for the Booneville offense by each scoring three runs. Trent Woodridge also scored two runs for the Bearcats.

Jakota Sainsbury hit a home run in the fifth inning, and Westin Church added a home run of his own in the seventh inning to help power the Pea Ridge offense.

Shiloh Christian 11, Pottsville 7

Pottsville held a 7-6 lead heading into the top of the sixth, but a big sixth inning was just what Shiloh Christian needed.

The Saints used a five-hit, two-walk inning to score five runs in the sixth inning that was powered by a three-run home run by Luke Johnson.

Johnson had singled in two of his three at-bats to start the game, but he delivered when it was needed most with the extra base hit to take a 10-7 lead.

Jake Nelson finished 2-for-4 at the dish with a double and three RBIs to help the offense for Shiloh Christian. Josh Rhodes also finished 1-for-4 but had a two-run double in the fourth inning.

Conor Germann, Michael Connolly and Amos Yarbrough each scored two runs for the Saints.

Pottsville was able to take a 7-5 lead after four innings of play with the help of a four-run fourth inning.

The Apaches had three doubles in the inning, including Greyson Stevens' extra-base hit that scored two runs in the frame.

Nick Hagerty led the Pottsville offense finishing 4-for-4 with two singles, a double and a two-run home run in the third inning that gave Pottsville a 3-2 lead. Hagerty finished with three RBIs in the game.
