Rockefeller lecture

Janet Harris, director of programs for the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, will discuss the late Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller’s life, accomplishments and impact on Arkansas politics in a Brown Bag Lunch Lecture, noon Thursday, at the Old State House Museum, 300 W. Markham St., Little Rock. Movies in the Park

The Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau brings back — for the 13th year — its River Market Movies in the Park, Wednesdays starting June 7 with La La Land (PG-13, 2016) at the First Security Amphitheater in Little Rock’s Riverfront Park, off President Clinton Avenue (easiest access is via Ottenheimer Plaza, on the east side of the Ottenheimer Market Hall).

An adult must accompany all children under 18; an ID is required. The amphitheater will open an hour before film showings. Entertainment may precede some screenings.
