What's up in Sin City? A lot of crime and dirty dealings. And some silliness. Luckily, Dan Tanna (Robert Urich) is on the case.

Tanna is a private detective who stays very busy helping clients and the police tackle a number of crimes and dilemmas -- some serious, some ridiculous. One week he may act as bodyguard for an embattled fashion model and the next he may track down a missing person or hunt down a murderer. Then again, he may also have to help a client find a lost lion named Lucille.

Tanna is a pretty cool customer, with combat skills from his time in Vietnam. He lives in a converted warehouse and drives a 1957 T-bird, which he parks in his living room.

For all that, he does care about his clients and the people he helps -- and he has a sense of humor, which comes in handy.

He's helped in his work by his assistant, a former showgirl and single mother named Beatrice Travis (Phyllis Davis). His more bubble-headed helper, Angie (Judy Landers), was short-lived. There's also Binzer (Bart Braverman), trouble-prone helper who unofficially pitches in on leg work.

On his more serious cases, Tanna may help (and be helped by) police Lt. David Nelson (Greg Morris) and Sgt. Bella Archer (Naomi Stevens).

How is it? It's definitely dated but still entertaining. Urich is a perfect fit for the charming but dangerous Tanna -- able to handle the show's mix of heavy and light moments with ease.

People who enjoy late '70s crime shows with lots of humor and gadgets would probably get a kick out of it. And with a lineup of guest stars and cameo appearances by former and future stars (Muhammad Ali, Alex Trebek, Melanie Griffith, Dean Martin, Kim Basinger and Sid Caesar among them), playing a round of "Hey! Isn't that..." is a given.
