The Pulaski County Election Commission on Thursday certified the results of the Little Rock School District's May 9 special election to extend the levy of 12.4 debt service mills by 14 years, from 2033 to 2047.

The proposed tax extension was soundly defeated.

The complete and official results were:

Against 7,184

For 3,941

Bryan Poe, director of elections in Pulaski County, said Thursday that the final totals included 20 votes that were not in the unofficial totals reported after polls closed May 9. The early totals did not include one ballot that arrived from overseas and 19 provisional ballots initially held aside to determine whether the voters were eligible to vote in the election.
