WASHINGTON COUNTY

Fayetteville Church of God, 631 N. Mission Blvd., presents an "Old-Fashioned Camp Meeting" beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday at Bunch Park in Elkins. The event features preaching, music and fellowship.

Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, 699 N. Sang Ave., offers a Tikkun Leil Shavuot, an all-night study vigil, on the eve of Shavuot. The night begins with prayers at 9 p.m. Tuesday, then a festive meal and study continuing until 5 a.m. Wednesday.

BENTON COUNTY

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., will commission Andrew Goff as the church's new director of worship and discipleship during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday. The Rev. Al Frank of the central district staff of the Evangelical Free Church of America and the Rev. Mark Voll, church pastor, will present a commissioning charge to Goff and the members of the congregation.

The church hosts a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.

OneChurchNWA, an outreach of the Joppa House of Prayer in Rogers, 1225 W. Hudson Road, plans a rally from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the splash park at Lawrence Plaza in Bentonville. Twelve pastors and three worship teams of musicians will lead this citywide prayer and worship event for "the protection and advancement of their city, state and nation."

The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, 2003 S.W. Regional Airport Road, sponsors a parking lot sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and June 3, with proceeds to benefit Mission: Guatemala. Donated items are accepted, with pickup of larger items available.

The church offers "Gadgets and Gizmos" vacation Bible school, for children 5 years old through the fourth grade, from 6 to 8 p.m. June 5-8.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., offers a new women's Bible study covering Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. The study meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m. starting Thursday. Cost is $17.50 for materials.

The church currently accepts registration for a summer arts camp June 19-23. The camp, for children entering first to sixth grades, includes classes on hand chimes, guitar, line dancing, card making, watercolor collage, weaving, junk sculpture and more. Cost is $10 per student, with scholarships available for families enrolling multiple children. Registration closes Thursday.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., plans vacation Bible school from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 5-8 and currently accepts registration.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday. The pantry needs donations of bar soap, flour, oil, sugar or money to purchase these items.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 902 S.W. Second St., Bentonville, serves its monthly potluck meal after the service Sunday.

The church offers an adult class, "How to Pray," from 9 to 10 a.m. each Sunday in June. The class is designed to teach the difference between traditional prayer and Unity's affirmative prayer.

A new Wednesday night study centers on self-examination through The Work: Loving What It Is by Bryon Katie. The study begins at 7 p.m. June. 7.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., collects food items Sunday for the Helping Hands food pantry in Bentonville. The suggested donation is canned fruit, although any food items or monetary donations are appreciated.

Presbyterian Women will be cutting fabric at 9 a.m. Thursday to sew summer clothes for needy children.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., will participate in the Neosho (Mo.) National Fish Hatchery's senior citizen day from 9 a.m. to noon June 9. The hatchery will provide all fishing equipment. Each fisherman can keep four trout, which will be cleaned and bagged by volunteers. The hatchery will provide lunch. Carpooling from the church is available.

The church hosts its annual Father's Day cookout after the 10:30 a.m. worship service June 18.

REGION

Bible Reading Ministry International in Carroll County plans a bus tour Sept. 17-23 to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Williamstown, Ky. An informational meeting about the trip is set for noon June 12 at the Cattleman's Steakhouse Family Restaurant in Green Forest, with participants asked to buy their own lunch.

The tour costs $619 for double occupancy and includes six nights lodging, 10 meals and admission to the Ark Encounter, the Newport (Ky.) Aquarium and the Cincinnati (Ohio) Zoo and Botanical Garden. A $75 deposit is requested.
