ROGERS -- Evan Lane Ballard, 22, of 15283 Haynes Road was arrested Wednesday in connection with rape after allegedly drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at his home May 13.

The girl told a Benton County detective when they got to Ballard's house he gave her what he told her was acid and told her it would make her feel good, according to the affidavit of probable cause. Afterward, the two had sexual intercourse, according to the girl's testimony in the report. In addition she told the detective Ballard took photographs of her naked.

She said she exchanged text messages with Ballard for several days after the incident. The initial report came from the girl's mother, according to the report.

Police found Ballard at Malco Cinema where he worked and Ballard agreed to talk, the detective wrote. Ballard said he met the girl through a mutual friend and thought she was 14 or 15 years old. He admitted to "making out" and engaging in other sexual acts with the girl, but said they did not have sexual intercourse, according to the report.

Ballard was arrested after being questioned and was being held Saturday at the Benton County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
