Wrist injured, wallet snatched by stranger, Little Rock woman tells police

A woman told police that two robbers approached her and took a wallet strapped around her wrist Tuesday outside a Little Rock residence.

Authorities say the robbery happened about 11:45 a.m. as the 31-year-old victim was walking back to her boyfriend’s apartment at Sturbridge Townhouses, 1400 Old Forge Drive.

One of two male strangers who approached tried to grab the woman’s wallet but failed, a Little Rock Police Department report states.

The assailant then grabbed the victim’s arm and took the wallet “by force,” injuring the woman’s wrist, according to police. The pair then fled from the complex.

The wallet reportedly contained debit and credit cards as well as about $300 in cash.

No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
