22-year-old shot multiple times outside Little Rock apartment complex, authorities say

A 22-year-old man was shot in both his arms and legs outside a Little Rock apartment complex early Thursday, authorities said.

Police responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex on Mesa Drive about 12:30 a.m., according to a report.

When they arrived, officers found North Little Rock resident Carl Daniel with several gunshot wounds to both his arms and legs, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Michael Ford said. Daniel was reportedly in stable condition and taken to a Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Officers found multiple shell casings in the parking lot, the report stated. A 22-year-old witness told authorities she had heard several shots from the parking lot before Daniel made it to her home, police wrote.

The report described the shooter as a black male standing 6 feet tall and listed a black Lincoln Navigator as the suspect's vehicle.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A spokesman for Baptist Health Medical Center said Daniel was not at that hospital as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
