UALR campus ministry house burglarized, police say; similar crime reported nearby days earlier

A laptop and camera were stolen from a University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus ministry house, authorities say, marking the second break-in of a Christian organization in one week.

The leader of Genesis Campus Ministry told officers Tuesday morning that the group's house at 2724 Fair Park Blvd. had been broken into, according to a Little Rock police report. The home is just north of the UALR campus.

The organization's leader said his $1,500 MacBook Pro and $500 camera were taken, the report stated.

He told police that members had left the house about 5 p.m. Monday and that no one had returned until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said there had been no arrests in the burglary.

The Genesis Campus Ministry house is the second campus ministry near UALR to be burglarized this week. A $30,000 sound system was stolen from the Chi Alpha house on the same street over the weekend, Arkansas Online previously reported.
