Melissa Alane Austin and John Edward Murphy exchanged marriage vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Junior League of Little Rock building. The Rev. Dan Anderson of Central Presbyterian Church of Little Rock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and Robert Austin of North Little Rock. Her grandparents are Mary and the late James Barnett Sr. of North Little Rock and the late Mona and Donald "Buck" Austin of Bella Vista.

Parents of the groom are Cathy and Warren Murphy of Cammack Village. His grandparents are Ruth Olvey Murphy of Lewisburg, W.Va., the late Louise Murphy and the late David Murphy, both of North Little Rock, and the late Jane and Dr. James Flack of Little Rock.

Banister posts in the foyer held large arrangements of cream roses, burgundy dahlias and white hydrangeas. Vows were exchanged beneath a white, wooden arbor built by the bride's father and decorated with eucalyptus, Italian ruscus and white and ivory flowers. Music was by Lucas Murray.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory lace and tulle ballgown with a scalloped V-neck bodice and a tiered tulle skirt. She carried a bouquet of white and apricot roses; burgundy scabiosa, dahlias and spray roses; and pink ranunculus.

The bride's sisters, Alicia Austin Smith and Olivia Jones, both of North Little Rock, were her honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Dr. Kaley Achor of Sherwood; Andrea Collins and Britney Harrison, both of Fayetteville; Emily Rojas of Tulsa, cousin of the groom; and Rachel Cowan, Dr. Jamie Collins and Allie Arnone, all of Little Rock. They wore burgundy chiffon gowns and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Groomsmen were James Murphy of New York City and Mark Murphy of Little Rock, both brothers of the groom; Will Collins, Korosh Saba and Stanley Hastings, all of Little Rock; Brodie Newcomb of Dallas; Ross Cooper of Napa, Calif.; and Andrew Terry of Fayetteville.

Guests were seated by Dr. Brandon Achor of Sherwood, Drew Bailey of Fayetteville, Matthew Smith of Little Rock, Brandon Wright of Dallas and David Chucoski of Norfolk, Va.

A reception, also at the Junior League, followed the ceremony. Guest tables were draped in ivory linens and decorated with raised arrangements of white hydrangeas, ivory and blush roses, burgundy dahlias and eucalyptus. Garlands of eucalyptus and white flowers decorated family tables and a gold candle tree set in a base of roses, anemone, dahlias and hypericum decorated the buffet.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in health science and a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She is a pediatric occupational therapist at Pediatrics Plus.
