A 66-year-old man has been arrested after an Arkansas bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

A man wearing a baseball hat, sunglasses and ski mask reportedly demanded money from the teller at Citizens Bank at 150 Airport Road in Hot Springs about 2:45 p.m., a news release from the city's Police Department stated.

The robber, later identified as Henry Smith, said he had a gun and demanded the teller put money into a black drawstring bag he placed on the counter, authorities said.

Smith, a Hot Springs resident, reportedly fled after the employee gave him an unspecified amount of money. Minutes later, officers found him behind the 1600 block of Albert Pike Road, about a half-mile away, with the bag and money, according to the news release. Police said Smith later admitted to robbing the bank.

He has been charged with aggravated robbery and property theft over $1,000. Records show the 66-year-old was being held at the Garland County jail in lieu of $2,500 bond as of Thursday afternoon, and he is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 21.
